Jennifer Pettie, JD, MPH has become a public health thought leader and changemaker, passionate about forging health equity pathways. She serves as CEO of the Health Equilibrium Group and Emory University Board of Visitors Member. Determined to turn her maternal near miss experience into an opportunity to improve outcomes, she created the Maternal Health Conversations Web Series – a national campaign that has helped raise awareness, highlight resources, and inform next steps. In addition, she recently authored “A Queen’s Birth Story,” a children’s book that empowers parents to share their birth stories with their kids. As Mrs. Georgia American 2022-2023, Jennifer has used her platform to help improve maternal health outcomes. Her signature event, the Maternal Care Champion Awards, celebrates providers who work to move the needle in addressing the maternal mortality crisis. Jennifer is an alumna of Brooklyn Law School, Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, and Villanova University. She has been recognized by the Atlanta Hawks as a Healthcare Hero and received the March of Dimes Woman of Distinction Award for Healthcare Leadership, NMQF Health Leader Award at the Annual Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust, and Atlanta Young Government Leaders Award.
