The Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness (FFBWW) is seeking a full-time Digital Media Specialist to help advance our commitment to elevating and empowering Black women and girls to build and sustain healthy, wellness-centered lives. This position will play a key role in realizing our organization’s mission to eliminate health disparities and other barriers impacting the lives of Black women and girls.

The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all digital media assets supporting the Foundation’s brand presence through social media platforms, websites, email, and CRM platforms. The digital media coordinator maintains the digital media metrics to help improve audience targeting and expand our outreach and impact. Ideal candidates will have a background in digital marketing, website development, management, and/or communications

Specifically, the Digital Media Specialist will be responsible to:

  • Design, develop, and deploy digital media assets that promote and advance engagement and visibility of the FFBWW’s broad body of work while maintaining brand integrity and standards across all platforms. 
  • Collaborate across teams and functions to provide end-to-end project coordination of website projects, digital campaigns and assets, email marketing, and other deliverables.
  • Assist the Brand Experience and Marketing Manager to execute marketing plans and campaigns
  • Develop content to support health and wellness programming and other key initiatives while ensuring a consistent brand aesthetic. 
  • ​​Coordinate email marketing including creation, delivery, and enhancement of daily/weekly email
  • Coordinate social media including day-to-day management and maintenance of FFBWW website(s) and social media accounts; create content and implement promotions on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok, LinkedIn,  and YouTube
  • Provide concise and comprehensive end-to-end project management on digital media marketing and promotions
  • Proactively communicate project updates to keep all stakeholders informed of progress, and flag any potential issues that may alter project deliverables and/or timeline
  • Identify process efficiencies and internal communications to improve our process and ensure consistent deliverables
  • Support organizational marketing and media projects as needed and assigned.


  • Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a role heavily focused on digital media and project management
  • Graphic design expertise is strongly preferred
  • ​​A passionate advocate for Black Women’s health, and committed to bringing women and partners together to improve the health of Black Women, families, and communities;
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills—must be able to think on your feet and outside the box; impeccable communication and people skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with shifting deadlines and stakeholder needs;
  • A strong team player and self-starter with a desire to take on new challenges
  • Excellent time management skills; must be flexible and able to work outside of normal business hours as needed;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent changing priorities;
  • Working knowledge of data management, analysis and performance metrics
  • Firm grasp of MS Office, Google Business Suite, and various business and project management software
  • A hands-on learner who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with frequent changing priorities.
  • Experience or working awareness of marketing technologies including CMS, CRM, email platforms, etc
  • Robust understanding of SEO, PPC, Social Media Advertising, and Google Analytics
  • Ability to work collaboratively to create positive relationships with peers, clients, vendors, managers, and others

Job Details

This is a full-time benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per year.

The FFBWW office is located at 6601 Grand Teton Plaza, Suite A2, Madison, WI 53719. The Digital Media Specialist will be based out of the Black Women’s Health and Wellness Center.
