Tisha Butler is a proud Chicago native and Madison transplant where she has lived since 2012. Her work as an advocate for Black Women and children is rooted in her fierce independence from being a single mother who started her life and career over in a new city with no family. Tisha’s career has spanned healthcare, crisis support, and public service. In all of her work, Tisha maintains a relentless passion to empower Black women to thrive. She is currently studying Sociology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Madison Odyssey Project, the United Way of Dane County Broadwalk Academy, and of the Urban Triage Supporting Healthy Black Families program. The mother of a teenage son and daughter, Tisha directs her energies and talents to leaving her community stronger than she found it.
