Blaine Stephanos is an Austin, Texas native and a sophomore at Spelman College majoring in Pre-Med Psychology with a minor in Biochemistry. Her goal is to attend medical school and obtain an MD/MPH to provide healthcare services and conduct research that serves overlooked communities. Blaine’s academics focus on how health inequality and social determinants of health operate within our healthcare system. These topics affect Black women on a large scale in medicine which is why Blaine is so drawn to the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness Health Equity Internship. She is excited to gain hands-on experience working in communities that are often overlooked by our healthcare system.
