Chalon Stacker-Lay is an educator with over 11 years of experience. She is a product and advocate of the Milwaukee Public Schools system. This is where she began her educational and professional journey. Her experience as a student led her to want to figure out better solutions and resources for our communities. She is at a point where she desires more than just being a teacher inside a school or within a specific grade band. She wants to be a better advocate and provide opportunities for those who are in the unknown. Most educators are women, with a very small percentage being African American. Women are vital to our communities and provide the stepping stones for education and overall health. The brown faces that we service are products of African American women who try their best despite any challenges or roadblocks. Collaborating in these important and significant circles will ensure that we continue to advocate for health, and social justice, and networking in impactful groups.
