Theola has been an Ambassador since 2012. She attended Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee where she received her Bachelors of Arts in History with an emphasis in English. She received her Master’s in Public Administration from UW Madison’s LaFollette Institute of Public Affairs. Theola began her civil service career with Dane County as an Economic Support Specialist. She left the County to work for the State of Wisconsin. She has worked in several Departments including the former Department of Health and Family Services, Department of Workforce Development, where she was the Enforcement Unit Supervisor in the Bureau of Child Support, and the Department of Administration where she was Bureau Director of Housing. In 2017, Theola left State service to return “home” to Dane County and now serves as the Manager of Policy and Program Improvement in the Tamara D. Grigsby Office Dane County Civil Right Department (DCCRD). For fun, Theola enjoys performing and singing. She is a member of TEMPO Madison, Member of the Board Directors for Heartland Credit Union and a member of the Board of Visitors for the UW Madison LaFollette Institute of Public Affairs.
