Ali Bravo is a first-generation Mexican American who is fluent in English and Spanish. She is a Precollege Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence (PEOPLE) scholar and a rising junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is pursuing a pre-med track through a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and two minors in Health Policy and Gender and Women's Studies. Her clinical experience began as an inpatient phlebotomist at UnityPoint Health Meriter, the largest birthing center in Wisconsin. Her passion and goal are to become an OBGYN who focuses on holistic practices and patient-centered care, and to improve policy for historically marginalized groups, with a deep focus on addressing the systemic racial discrimination that shapes social determinants of health.
