Francesca is a rising senior in high school with dual enrollment at Madison College. She is an intern placed at the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness through Maydm’s STEM High School Internship Program. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, cheerleading, reading, and going for walks. Francesca is passionate about health equity and ensuring everyone has access to quality care. She is interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and advocating for patients of all backgrounds. She looks forward to gaining new skills during this internship that will help her make a meaningful impact in the long run.
After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year university to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She hopes to work in an intensive care unit and eventually progress to a CRNA program. She is highly motivated to be part of the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness because of the critical work they do to improve health outcomes in the community. Through this internship, she aims to develop new skills and grow both personally and professionally on her path toward becoming a healthcare professional. Her ultimate goal is to help create a healthcare system where everyone feels heard and has access to the care they deserve.
